Team Behind the Smiles

Led by Drs. Giannetti and Booms, our team works closely and compassionately to deliver excellent orthodontic care.

Drs. Giannetti and Booms have been practicing orthodontics together since 2007. They have an invaluable combination of being trained on the East and West Coast as well as their clinical experience. Drs. Giannetti and Booms also love the perspective they have from being parents and patients themselves - their philosophy is to treat all who come to their office as they would treat their families. When you come to the office, you will be able to see they are an incredible team who are passionate about what they do.

Dr. Kelly Giannetti

Education

Dr. Kelly Giannetti grew up in the Central Valley. As a child of teachers, she developed a love for education. She graduated from UC Davis with a BS in physiology and moved to Boston for her next adventure in dental school. In 1995, she graduated from Harvard university with a doctorate in dental medicine and a master’s in public health. She furthered her orthodontic specialty education with a master’s in oral biology at the University of California at San Francisco. After graduating in 1998, Dr. Giannetti moved to Sacramento to be near her family.

Global Community

Dr. Giannetti’s passion for dentistry, learning and traveling takes her to all corners of the world, where she collaborates with other health care providers to bring a unique perspective to her practice.

Family

Dr. Giannetti met her husband, Stephen, in 1986 at UC Davis. Stephen is a fine art painter whose paintings inspired the practice logo and are on display throughout the office. They have two girls, Maya and Isabella. Maya is currently in orthodontic residency at UCSF and hopes to join Drs. Giannetti and Booms after graduation. Isabella recently graduated from college and moved to New York city for work.

Teaching

Dr. Giannetti is an Associate Clinical Professor at UCSF Department of Orthodontics and is excited to be teaching Maya’s class this year.

Dr. Thais Booms

Growing up

After graduation, Dr. Booms served as an associate professor at the University of Michigan. She relocated to Sacramento in 2006 in search of better weather and outdoor opportunities. Dr. Booms has two kids - Enzo and Lia. Enzo is currently in high school and Lia is in middle school and they do a great job at keeping Dr. Booms busy and on her toes. In her leisure time Dr. Booms enjoys hiking, biking, doing yoga, hanging out with friends and family. Her favorite tradition is going to Brazil with her kids every year and spending time with their large extended family, eating lots of good food and practicing their Portuguese.

Professor at Michigan

After graduation, Dr. Booms served as an associate professor at the University of Michigan. While in Michigan, Dr. Booms met her husband, Chris. They relocated to Sacramento in 2006 in search of better weather and outdoor opportunities. They have two kids - Enzo and Lia. Enzo is currently in high school and Lia is in middle school, and they do a great job at keeping Dr. Booms busy and on her toes.

Community

Dr. Booms loves being a part of the community where she practices and seeing many familiar faces at the office.
